Parenting Television Shows

The proliferation of cable and pay-for-view channels has made television an even more helpful vehicle for learning about effective parenting and child development.  It always had had sporadic programming directed toward parents and now there are more channels through which you can gain such education.

In addition, news broadcasts often have segments on Tips for Parents where the stations contact parenting experts to provide them with guidance and where they convey such gems through parenting sound bites that they do best.

Specific programs that are devoted to effective parenting are excellent ways to learn.  The various Supernanny shows are good examples.  The wise nannies that are dispatched to do their special type of home visiting parenting education employ methods and principles that are taught in many of the parenting skill-building programs.

They are extremely creative practitioners and wizards of communicating and conveying sophisticated ideas in ways that are easy to comprehend.  Their appreciation of the family dynamics that feed into problems in child rearing is also of high quality.
