Federal Government Initiative

Dr. Kerby T. Alvy of the Center for the Improvement of Child Caring has developed a blueprint for how our federal government elected officials, the President and Members of Congress, can become champions of effective parenting and parenting education by creating a multi-faceted Effective Parenting Initiative.

This would involve the creation of new structures within our federal government, led by either a cabinet level Department of Effective Parenting or a White House Office of Effective Parenting.

Such a top level entity would be supported by a prestigious National Council of Effective Parenting composed of leaders from all segments of American society.

The proposed new structures would also include a National Clearinghouse of Effective Parenting, a National Parenting Instructor Training Center, and a National Institute on Effective Parenting.

The blueprint indicates how each would operate and also how they could be funded. To obtain a copy of this proposal for a federal government-supported Effective Parenting Initiative,

To let the President and Members of Congress know that you want them to create such an initiative and to become champions of effective parenting and parenting education, go to the NEPI Contact Form and express your desire in the Comments section.

NEPI will pass along your support to the President and your Congress people. Be sure to include your address so we will know which congress people to contact on your behalf.
