1. Make public its affiliation by an announcement to its constituency and encourage the signing of The Effective Parenting Petition and encourage others to become members of NEPI.
2. Link to NEPI on its website and encourage its visitors to become involved.
3. Promote effective parenting as essential to helping all children to enjoy a happy childhood and grow into happy, healthy, and successful adults.
4. Promote positive parenting practices, such as love and support, firm and respectful discipline, and age-appropriate supervision, that research has shown to be associated with positive developmental outcomes for children.
5. Discourage negative parenting practices, such as physical and verbal abuse, that research has shown to be associated with higher rates of school difficulties, aggression, depression, and delinquency in youth.
6. Participate in advocacy projects and campaigns to make effective parenting and parenting education local and national priorities.
7. Participate in NEPI Leadership Calls to shape NEPI programs and services.
8. Share its own services and products at discounted rates for NEPI Parent, Professional and Affiliated Organization Members.
9. Support NEPI financially through yearly Affiliated Organization members dues.
The annual dues are based on the size of the organization's annual budget and are as follows...
Budget of up to $250,000 = $150 per year
Budget of $250,000 - $500,000 = $250 per year
Budget of $500,000 - $1 million = $350 per year
Budget of $1 million to $1.5 million = $500 per year
Budget of $1.5 million to $2 million = $750 per year
Budget of $2 million and above = $1000 per year
